Introduciton
La Mobilière is a strong supporter of indoor sports such as basketball, handball, unihockey, and volleyball, serving as the primary sponsor for national indoor sports federations since 2013. Its involvement extends to sponsoring national top scorers, Supercups, various Kids Days, and the prestigious Topscorer Mobiliere gala.
They aimed to establish a competition open to all clubs across the four disciplines. The objective was to gather points per club, with the top 20 clubs earning a bonus of 1000 CHF each. Additionally, the standout player from the winning clubs would be awarded a prize of 100 CHF.

Gameplay
The game features four distinct sports-based gameplays in addition to the usual running mechanics. Each sport offers a scoring opportunity that grants a bonus piece. Here’s a breakdown of the specifics for each sport:
- Basketball: In this sport, the character executes a double jump to dunk the basketball and score a point.
- Handball: The character has the ability to jump to evade opponents; however, to score, they must shoot the ball into the goal.
- Unihockey: While the character loses the ability to jump, they can spin to avoid opponents and score a goal using the cross.
- Volleyball: To score a point, the character must leap to shoot the ball over the opponent’s net.
At the game’s conclusion, a form prompts players to fill in their username, email, and specify the club they wish to represent. Both individual and team scores are incremented after each game.
The level was accessible within the Android and iOS applications throughout the competition period and was subsequently integrated into the game, similar to the Paléo and Wrestling Festival levels.
Web
A custom leaderboard system was implemented to store and organize teams by sport and score, also keeping track of participants’ scores for each club. The backend system, constructed using Django in Python, facilitates the secure transmission of scores through the application’s API and retrieves rankings within the application. Additionally, the backend interface allows for moderation of submissions, particularly regarding inappropriate usernames displayed on the leaderboard. It also enables La Mobilière to export rankings for the distribution of prizes to clubs and players.
Result
The Sketchman Run Challenge proved highly successful, attracting over 7,400 participants and achieving impressive high scores. The top-performing team amassed more than 6 million points. The detailed results can be viewed here.
